The plumber was fantastic, diagnosed toilet problem well & clearly knew what to do to replace fill valve. Also because no way to turn off water at toilet due to ... old valve not turning, he found and replaced that valve quickly. Also used vacuum throughout to dry water from fact my water turnoff to house doesnt entirely eliminate water seepage. Came FAST to my house, saving me time.

The gentleman who came out to look at a leak was very pleasant and definitely knew his plumbing. However, he didn't listen very well. We were having a leak in ... the basement directly below the refrigerator and the garage directly behind the refrigerator. My husband and I had spent hours the night before trying to figure out what it was. Through trial and error (turning things on and off and turning water on and off, etc.) we were able to find that the culprit was most likely the water intake line to the refrigerator. There were various reasons behind this, all very logical and all communicated to the gentleman who came to see the situation. However, after communicating this to him he simply dismissed it and stated he thought it was something else. He was here for a while and ended up trying a dozen other things that had nothing to do with the water intake line. Through this process, he cut a hole in the garage drywall and the basement drywall. By the end, he stated that I was right all along and it was the water intake line to the refrigerator but that he couldn't do anything about it because he couldn't move the fridge himself. He also stated it was probably under warranty. I explained that it was more than a year old so that wasn't possible. He then charged us $150 for diagnostics and left. At this point, I had to call another company and set up another appointment for the same day; we had no water in the house because we had to shut off the water to prevent a further leak. The new company came out, listened to what I said, immediately agreed it was the water intake line, pulled the fridge out on his own (because apparently it's on wheels) and fixed the problem in 10 minutes. We are now left with multiple holes in our drywall that we have to have someone else come out to repair and we're down $150 from your guy coming for diagnostics. He should have listened to me, figured out immediately that the issue was related to the water intake line and stated that he couldn't do anything to fix that so there would be no point in proceeding. OR he should have listened to me and done non-invasive investigation of the problem (as I suggested). Instead, we are now out $150 for the unnecessary diagnostics and another few hundred dollars for the extra drywall work that will have to be done to repair the holes he cut. I understand he was trying to be thorough but he simply didn't listen to me at all. I respectfully request a refund of the $150 diagnostic fee for the reasons stated above.
