Excellent service from tech

Juan and Edwardo, who did the water restoration, were terrific. Then two more fellows whose names I did not catch stayed all the next day for the pipe repair. ... It was quite a job, and the workers were all excellent. Unfortunately the dispatch/phone service was lacking. The Oakland office had just been acquired by Roto Rooter, and the phones were all mixed up and being routed through Chicago — one hand did not know what the other was doing. Hopefully this issue has been smoothed over. Finally, the problem here was that the pipes leading to our septic tank had burst and the raw sewage was flowing from under our foundation down the hill on which our house sits. I had thought the problem was because our septic tank was full, and had called Roto Rooter to empty the tank, which they did. But it is curious to me why they didn’t notify me that the sewage flow was not due to a full tank; in other words they didn’t initially spot the problem. It wasn’t until later that I noticed sewage still flowing down the hill. Roto Rooter then returned to fix the true problem, and the service there was good as noted above. But I would have thought the guys doing the septic tank emptying would have noticed that the problem was not fixed and the septic tank was not overflowing.
