Larry 301 came to determine the source of my sump pump malfunction causing the relentless alarm this morning. He unbolted the lid to find a separated back-up pump connection, which ... had ultimately drained the battery and disabled the back up pumpâ€™s ability to function during an outage. (there is more to the explanation). He repaired the connection and tested the function of the main pump. As I requested, Larry wrote a detailed description on the invoice for me to give to my sump system installer next week after he returns from vacation and can come to assess the cause for the disconnect and (deal with the dead battery). I learned that this equipment installed November of 2017 is not the quality I expected from that independent contractor, highly recommended by another contractor who had done good work himself on our property in the pastâ€”which brings me to say that I have learned to hire more established service providers who are accountable to someone regarding work ethics and standards. This is a competitive era for service industries, where service is judged with more scrutiny than the products themselves. I am always eager to give excellent service industry reviews, in contrast to those never-reported low ratings for apathetic rookie techs representing a relativeâ€™s company with poor or nil hiring practicesâ€”and providing only OJT, limited at that. I have found that formal training and continuing education keeps service techs providing the best possible results. My contractor selections in recent years have been dissapointing, so it is a pleasant change to have a gentleman like Larry to efficiently and pleasantly provide a repair, as well as ensure my understanding of the problem and his resolution. For someone needing plumbing services, I would readily recommend RotoRooter and Larry, whose character and standards show very well for the Company brand.
