Wedding Disaster: Bride Flushed Ring Down the Toilet

Hello everyone, welcome to A Current Affair, I'm Maureen O'Boyle. A story with as many twists and chills as any movie classic. A young bride who saw her marriage plans go down the drain, along with her engagement ring. That's right, she flushed it. But every white cloud has a silver lining, and in this case, it was Prince Charmin. It was a storybook wedding for Trish and Gary McDonald, the sort that dreams are made of. Cut! Back up here. Let's hear about the day before the wedding. "I was probably half asleep and walked into the bathroom to wash my face." Now check this out. "I stuck it in the corner of the sink and as I was wiping off the sink with some other tissue paper, I realized that there wasn't a wastebasket in the bathroom. So I just threw it all in the toilet and flushed it down." Trish needed help and needed it fast. "You're gonna need me someday. I don't know when, and you don't know when, but you're gonna need me." Call Roto-Rooter, that's the name. And away go troubles, down the drain. Trish found a kind voice at the Roto-Rooter office. She was given some hope that her ring could be retrieved. "She tried to give me a bit of optimism by saying, 'we've done amazing things before, I don't want you to lose complete faith and thinking it's not possible at all because anything's possible.'" Jerry Supernaw was first on the scene. "I could tell she was very upset and then she told me she was getting married the very next day and then there was a big lump in my stomach. I was like oh no, poor thing." The Roto-Rooter examination began quickly. First to see if the ring got stuck in the toilet itself. No luck. "Next I said you could check out the main line so I dug up the front yard and popped a hole in the pipe and had her flush the toilet 10 or 15 times at least. Nothing came out. I knew that the odds were pretty low and I really thought if I could keep them motivated then we can do it." Suddenly, Trish seemed to spot something. "Oh my god, that's my ring! That's my ring! That's my ring!" And they lived happily ever after.
